About Noah Webster Schools
At Noah Webster Schools, we want our students to succeed, and with two campuses in Arizona—one in Mesa and one in Scottsdale—you’ll be able to choose the perfect campus for you and your family. Noah Webster Schools currently serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through 7th Grade. We are excited to announce that Noah Webster will be expanding our high-quality education through 8th grade, starting the 2025-2026 school year.

Who Was Noah Webster?
Though he is now considered an American hero, Noah Webster’s beginning was very humble. Born to your typical colonial family in 1758, young Webster enjoyed learning more than most children his age. He decided to pursue a career in teaching, where he quickly realized that the American educational system was outdated. Webster pioneered change by producing his own textbook, referred to as the “Blue-Backed Speller”, which taught children how to read, spell, and pronounce words for over 100 years!
One of his greatest achievements was the creation of the American Dictionary of the English Language, now known as the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. Webster’s dictionary transformed the American language from traditional English to a unique, common language that unified how people across our country communicate with each other.
In addition to his contributions to the American language, he also founded Amherst College, fought for universal education, and raised eight children with his wife of 54 years. We are extremely proud and honored to be named after a true innovator of American education!
Bully Prevention
Studies have shown that as many as one out of four students has been bullied. Today, children are also using technology to bully others—through email, text messaging, and social networking sites such as Facebook, SnapChat, etc.
Research has made it clear that this growing problem can’t be dismissed as “kids being kids.” Bullying can affect children’s attendance, schoolwork, mental and physical health.
Our school is committed to providing all students with a safe and secure learning environment. At Noah Webster Schools, we believe one of the best ways to do this is by working closely with and involving parents.
We encourage students to always report instances of bullying to an adult at school and an adult at home. We talk about the definition of bullying (when someone repeatedly and on purpose says or does mean or hurtful things to another person who has a hard time defending themselves) and how to be an Upstander (someone who reports bullying to an adult and/or helps a person being bullied). If you learn that your child has been bullied at school, please report it to your child’s teacher.
Noah Webster is a Leader in Me school. The Leader in Me program addresses bullying by focusing on leadership development in both staff and students; thereby shifting paradigms and creating a healthy school culture. Leader in Me deliberately focuses on developing student competencies such as teamwork, responsibility, collaboration, goal setting, and leadership. When these skills are integrated into the culture of the school, students embrace and implement these life skills. The skills become embedded in the culture of the school. Not only can this reduce bullying in schools, but it gives students a great foundation for future relationships.
